About Coldwell Banker

Coldwell Banker was founded in 1906 after a devastating earthquake and resulting fires in San Francisco, California, where over 80 per cent of the city was destroyed.

A young real estate agent, Colbert Coldwell, saw the need for a knowledgeable and honest real estate service to help the city rebuild. He later partnered with Arthur Banker, a member of his growing sales staff. In 1914, they officially named the company Coldwell Banker®.

Since then, the Coldwell Banker® organization has grown to become a premier provider of full-service residential and commercial real estate. It is the oldest national realty brand in the United States and currently has a network of nearly 90,000 real estate representatives in more than 3,300 offices in 50 countries around the world.
