Articling Phase

The Articling Phase consists of a series of courses that cover the specialized areas of real estate.

During the two-year articling period, additional courses must be completed, including two mandatory courses outlined below.

At the end of this period, individuals are required to complete three courses in order to be eligible to renew his or her licence.

Courses

  • Real Property Law (mandatory) – Explains the many complex common and statutory laws and issues that affect real estate transactions
  • Remaining Phase 3 Course (mandatory)
  • Principles of Appraisal – Designed to develop the ability to evaluate property for listing, marketing, financing, and selling
  • Principles of Mortgage Financing – Explores legal, mathematical, and procedural aspects of mortgage financing
  • Principles of Property Management – Provides information needed to operate and manage a property on behalf of an owner
  • Real Estate Investment Analysis – Designed for experienced REALTORS® looking to better their knowledge and skill in the analysis of ICI property
